BBC Radio2のクリスマス特集のひとつ、Sunday Night is Music Night - Radio 2’s West End ChristmasにJOJさん、サマンサ・バークスさん、レイチェル・タッカーさん他が出演。番組の進行はエレイン・ペイジさん。本放送は12/18ですが、Webサイトでは12/1から公開中で12/30あたりまで聴けます。今までは劇場で公開録音ということが多かったSNMNですが今回は１１月に BBC Maida Vale Studiosでの収録。

JOJさんはIt's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas、It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year、Mistletoe and Wine、Merry Christmas Everybodyを歌いました。トリのMerry Christmas Everybodyは1973年にロックグループのSladeが発表して以来、毎年この時期になるとチャートに入るイギリスの国民的クリスマスソングなんですって。日本ならさしずめ山下達郎のクリスマス・イブみたいな感じだそうですw

JOJさん、レイチェルさんは来年来日されるのが待ち遠しい今日この頃なので、きれいな録音で聴けるのは嬉しいです。サマンサさんは出演映画が公開中で、こちらも日本でもライブ録音が聴けるのは嬉しいしw

さて、私もこれを聴きながらクリマスツリー🌲の飾り付けしちゃおう！
