JOJさんからのアナウンスメントは、大方の予想通りクリスマスアルバムの発売のお知らせでした＾＾
JOJさんの新アルバム、The Christmas Albumが11月12日に発売されます。
文字通りクリスマスアルバムということで、収録されるのは定番のクリスマス曲。それに加えて、JOJさんのお気に入りの曲をいくつかと、なんと新曲が2曲！
そのうちの一曲はウェールズ友の会の同胞（？）Steve Balsamo (Jesus Christ Superstar/The Storys)さんとの共作で“Please Come Home For Christmas Day”、 もう一曲は有名なソングライターのLes Reed (It’s Not Unusual/Delilah) と Bill Martin (Puppet On A StringCongratulations)の曲にJOJさん自ら歌詞を付けた“On Christmas Eve”だそうで、待望のオリジナル曲と言っていいんじゃないかな？
それに Kerry Ellis (Wicked/Cats)さんとのデュエット曲"That Holiday Feeling"も入るそうで、こちらも楽しみ。
ボーナストラックには、過去のクリスマスシーズンにシングルでリリースされたMay Each DayとO Holy Nightも収録されています。Riverは初めての曲だと思うけど、本編ではなくボーナストラックなのね。長年歌い継がれてきた定番のクリスマスソングに、JOJさんテイストの新鮮味を加えた、いい意味で一筋縄ではいかないクリスマスアルバムになりそうね(笑)。
THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM (2021)の発売は11/12ですが、プレオーダーは発表と同時に開始しています。プレオーダーにはすべてにJOJさんのサインと特製クリスマスカードが付いてくるそうですよ＾＾

JOJさんのサイトから購入の場合は、プレオーダー特典としてサイン付きCD +サイン付きクリスマスカードが付いてきます。日本からの注文の場合、送料込みで£18.99となります。
Amazonの方は特に明記されていないのですが、Twitterで直接JOJさんにお聞きしてみたところ、サイン付きだけどクリスマスカードはついてないよ、とのことでした。こちらはAmazon価格では2006円です。海外からの購入はちょっと…と思われる方は、こちらから購入されてもいいかもですね。
